Cost of Operation

Weight

Research by prospective buyers shows that MTM trailers are, on average, 967 lbs lighter than those from other manufacturers, which translates into significant revenue gains. Using the following assumptions:

Competitors: $5.57 revenue per ton x 21.5 tons x 7 loads = $838.28 per day
MTM Trailers: $5.57 revenue per ton x 22 tons x 7 loads = $857.78 per day

This equates to an additional $19.50 per day, $97.50 per week, or $3,900 annually, based on 40 weeks of operation per year.

Cleaning

Asphalt haulers typically spend about $3,000 annually cleaning their aluminum trailers, a cost that excludes the impact of accidents, driver dissatisfaction, and lost production time due to cleaning stops. MTM’s insulated steel trailers, however, are designed for efficiency—simply dump and go, ideal for handling asphalt and aggregate.

Maintenance

After thorough research, our buyers have verified that MTM’s lower maintenance costs stand out against competitors. This is due to our meticulous attention to detail and the incorporation of specially grooved pins and bushings with grease journals, all crafted in-house at our factory.
